Stock-backed launches on Robinhood Chain — mechanisms, fees, graduation, and contracts.

Beta

Basket markets are in beta. Multi-leg ETH routes, unwrap, and post-graduation pools may change. Read the rest of this page before launching or trading size.

What is a basket launch?

A basket launch is a meme coin backed by a small mix of stocks — like a mini ETF — instead of a single ticker such as TSLA or NVDA.

When you create one, you pick 2–5 listed stocks and (optionally) their weights. The app deploys your meme coin plus a vault that holds those stocks. Trading still feels familiar: buy and sell with ETH on the token page, before and after graduation.

Look for the Basket · Beta badge

Basket markets show a Basket · Beta badge and overlapping stock logos on Explore and the token page so you can tell them apart from 1× single-stock launches.

How it’s different from a normal launch

  • Backing — one stock vs a weighted basket of stocks.
  • Price tracking — your meme still moves with the bonding curve (and later the pool), but the “stock” behind it is a vault share priced from the basket’s combined value.
  • After graduation — the Uniswap pool is meme ↔ basket shares (e.g. GTOP ↔ bGTOP), not meme ↔ TSLA.

Fees and optional holder tax work the same idea as single-stock launches — taken in the backing asset (here, basket shares). Collect rewards on the token page or dashboard, then unwrap if you want ETH or the underlying stocks.

Buying and selling with ETH

On the token page, use Pay ETH / Get ETH just like a normal launch.

Before graduation

  • Buy — your ETH is split across the basket stocks, deposited into the vault, then used to buy the meme on the curve.
  • Sell — you sell the meme for vault shares, redeem those shares into stocks, and those stocks are sold back to ETH in one flow.

After graduation

  • Buy — ETH still buys the basket stocks and mints shares; those shares are then swapped for your meme on Uniswap V4.
  • Sell — meme is swapped for shares on V4, then shares are redeemed and sold to ETH.

Multi-leg slippage

Basket ETH trades touch several stock markets in one go, so fill quality can be a bit worse than a single-stock hop. Keep an eye on the suggested slippage and the minimum you’ll accept in your wallet.

Basket shares (bTICKER)

Vault shares are the claim on the stocks inside the basket. They’re named like bGTOP for a meme called GTOP.

You might hold shares if you:

  • Sell the meme for shares (instead of all the way to ETH)
  • Collect holder-tax or fee rewards paid in shares
  • Buy the meme’s other side on Uniswap after graduation

Shares are not lost if the website is down. They’re a normal token in your wallet with a claim on the vault.

Unwrapping shares

Unwrap turns basket shares into ETH or the underlying stocks.

On the token page (and dashboard when you hold shares), open Unwrap basket shares:

  • → ETH — redeem and sell the stocks for ETH.
  • → Stocks — redeem and keep the underlying stock tokens in your wallet.

You don’t need our site to exit

If you ever can’t reach the Greenback unwrap UI, you still own the shares. You can redeem through the same on-chain router/vault, trade shares back to the meme on Uniswap, or use another wallet tool that talks to the contracts.

Graduation for baskets

Graduation still happens around $6,000 of backing value. After that:

  • Liquidity seeds a Uniswap V4 pool: your meme ↔ basket shares.
  • The stocks stay in the vault. Trading the meme against shares does not dump the vault by itself.
  • Pay ETH / Get ETH on Greenback still works via the basket router (stocks in the middle).

Uniswap’s own app will mainly show the meme ↔ shares pool. It won’t always invent a one-click ETH → meme path the way Greenback does — that’s expected.

More on the shared graduation idea: Graduation.

Creating a basket

On Create, choose Basket, pick 2–5 stocks, set equal or custom weights, then finish name, image, and optional seed buy — same steps as a normal launch.

What’s allowed in a basket

Only allowlisted Robinhood stock tokens with reliable pricing. $BACK is not available as a basket leg or as a single-stock backing for new launches.

What to keep in mind

  • Same launchpad risks as any meme: volatility, fees, holder tax if the creator set one, and thin liquidity near graduation.
  • Basket ETH routes touch multiple stocks — expect more slippage than a single-stock trade.
  • The mix of stocks in the vault can drift from the original target weights over time as people deposit unevenly.
  • Always confirm the token page shows the stocks you expect (logo stack) before you buy.
